Worst Things about Traveling to Pakistan

If you’re traveling to Pakistan this year, then keeping in view the existing safety and COVID situations are equally important as scenic landscapes and inexpensive tour packages.

Let’s start with the present COVID situation analysis first.

The Current COVID Situation & Travel to Pakistan

Starting 5th October 2020, all International Travelers entering Pakistan have to fulfill these requirements.

  •         Travelers need to offer a negative COVID-19 certificate.

Due to COVID’s present situation visitors entering Pakistan have to provide contact information via The “Pass Track” mobile app or through a web-based form. Undergo screening by a health official.

Safety Issues When Traveling to Pakistan

From a traveling viewpoint inevitably, the internet is providing a mix of information, where many travel influencers and content creators are promoting Pakistan tourism while others are picturing Pakistan poorly with bad safety measures during their visits.

Although tourism has been increasing until recently with improved security in Pakistan. However, travelers who wish to visit Pakistan always ask. Is Pakistan safe to travel? Regardless of its mesmerizing beauty, best tour packages, and hospitable people.

It’s quite a logical question before travel but, unfortunately, there is no single answer to it.

Pakistan is one of the most populated and big countries, which encompasses a myriad of districts, ethnicities, cultures, subcultures, customs, and traditions that dismiss the idea of considering it as a whole.

If I ask, what does safety means?

No matter in which country you are in, unfortunate events like theft, kidnappings, accidents, and terrorist attacks can happen accidentally right when you’re feeling safe. So the same place can be safe and unsafe at the same time.

So, the question is,  Pakistan safe?

Well, the answer is much more than a simple YES/NO.

With that said, according to the Pakistan Travel Advisory, most of the tourist destinations in Pakistan are completely safe but there are some relatively dangerous areas due to sectarian violence.

Here are the DON’T TRAVEL Areas

Do Not Travel to:

  •         Balochistan province:  Terrorist groups, sectarian violence and conflicts, and fatal terrorist assaults against civilians, security forces and government offices have destabilized Balochistan.
  •         KPK Province, (including the former FATA): Terrorist groups tend to attack inhabitants, government offices, including security forces.
  •         Locale of Line of Control: Do not travel to the India-Pakistan border as the Militant groups operate in these areas, and there is a strong military presence on both sides of the border. Travelers are recommended to validate the state of the boundary-crossing before initiating travel.

Nonetheless, in short, most of the areas in Pakistan are safe for tourists entering Pakistan and, if you travel with extra care and caution, I promise, you will, absolutely, have one of the most all-embracing travel experiences ever.
