Clean the Windshield

Hence before kick-starting your ride, so make sure to clean it.

Check Tire Pressure

Over-inflated and under-inflated tires are a huge risk to drive with, so always make sure that your tire pressure is at the optimum of what is mentioned on the tires.

Especially if you have a large-sized SUV or a truck because light truck tyres require more care as they carry heavyweight. Used in carrying heavy loads or to fulfill towing needs — light truck tyres feature strong tread patterns which can undergo tough situations. Both passenger tyres and light truck tyres require a proper inflation level. For that, you need to go to the nearest gas station where the air-filling system is installed.

You would also need a tire pressure gauge which will help determine the exact pressure of the tire. The pressure needs to be just right as during long miles, these can fluctuate according to various temperature conditions and can result in long-term deficiencies. So fill the tires if needed.

Check the Oil Levels

The engine oil is changed every once in a while. Do not think that if your engine oil has turned viscose and black, it would be requiring an oil change. That is not the case and to determine it, you’ll need a dipstick. The oil level can be read by looking where the oily part ends and the dry part begins. If the oil line is between the two marks, you’re good to go. If it’s below the bottom mark, you need to add some more oil. These oil changes usually are done every four months, but it depends on the mileage of your vehicle.

Many car companies provide a post-purchase service where after you’ve purchased the car, they set up maintenance schedule reminders where you bring your car for a check-up.
