How to get APEDA Registration?
APEDA stands for (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority), the Government of India developed APEDA with the motive to promote export council. APEDA works in the direction to provide financial aid to the scheduled products and at the same time, issue guidelines and provide detailed information about the progress of those products. The Government of India has drafted policies with a vision to boost the agriculture industry through soil health cards, facilities, irrigation policies, and agricultural infrastructure. All the exporters of the scheduled products must register themselves with APEDA. For the registration, you have to apply first for the registration of IEC (Import Export Code). APEDA registration is a one-time registration, and all the registered members are governed by the rules and regulations under the APEDA Act. Essential documents required for APEDA Registration
The following are all the essential documents required at the time of registration:
- A copy of IEC (Import Export Code) issued by the DGFT (Director-General of Foreign Trade).
- Bank certificate signed by the authorities.
- Last two months bank account statement.
- Cancelled cheque.
- Signed APEDA registration application form.
- In case the exporter wants to register as Manufacturer Exporter, they should provide a self-attested copy of the registration of the company along with the relevant certification agencies for the products given below:

Note: There is no requirement of hard copy of any documents for seeking RCMC from APEDA.
Online APEDA Registration Process
For the registration, the applicant must submit the application form within one month from the date of undertaking the business. This registration is a one-time registration, and all the registered members are governed by the rules and regulations under the APEDA Act. Following are the steps for online registration:
Step 1: Go to the website of APEDA and click on the “Register as Member” button.
Step 2:Then fill all the basic details such as E-mail ID, Import Export Code, and mobile number and then submit it.
Step 3:An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent on your registered mobile number and email Id for confirming the details. Enter the OTP on the verification screen to verify both and submit to proceed further for application.
Step 4:After the verification, then fill the online application and upload all the required documents. Make sure the documents should be in PDF, JPEG, or PNG formats only. The exporter should enter all the information or details carefully in the online application form.
Step 5:Application can be completed in one or more sessions by revisiting the website by using assigned OTP of mobile number and Email Id. After filling all the information, the exporter can save the information in between by using the save button. Also, the exporter can edit the data until the online payment is not made.
Step 6:The exporter can pay the registration fee of Rs. 5000/- excluding taxes = Rs. 5900/- (with GST) made through any of the following modes:
- Debit Card.
- Credit Card.
- Demand Draft.
Step 7: After the payment process, an application number will be generated. Save or make a note of the application number for future reference.
Step 8: Once RCMC is issued, all the login credentials are sent to the registered E-mail Id of the exporter. The exporter can log in by using the “Exporter Login” link mentioned on the APEDA website.
Step 9: The exporter can check the status of the RCMC (Registration-Cum-Membership-Certificate) application by clicking the “Track Application” link.
Step 10: In case of any fault is observed in the online application form; the exporter can resubmit the documents online. That’s why it is import to check the status of RCMC application regularly.
Step 11: After the RCMC approval from APEDA officials, the exporter can take a printout of their certificate through their APEDA Login credentials under RCMC menu “View RCMC Certificate”.
