Type Of Teeth Straightening

The braces power chain method was developed by a dentist who was tired of hearing patients complain about their teeth numbered straightening experience. The dentist started asking his patients, If you could design a better teeth straightening procedure for yourself, what would it be? He collected their feedback and used that information to develop a system of teeth straightening he dubbed power chains. Unlike other methods, which typically take years from start to finish, these braces only take a few months.

It’s also faster than traditional methods because you don’t have to visit your orthodontist as often for checkups. You’ll still need to see him every six weeks or so, but those visits are shorter than they would be if you were wearing regular braces. That said, power chains aren’t right for everyone. You can only get them if your teeth are healthy enough to handle them—if they’re not, you’ll need a different treatment plan first. After your teeth are moved and you’ve reached your final smile design, Dr. Davis will apply a finishing retainer (also known as Power Chains). This retainer is a boomerang shaped wire that fits over both of your upper teeth. It is designed to ensure that you keep all of your treatment results for life. You will wear them at night, when you eat, and sometimes throughout each day, depending on how much force (from chewing or biting) is put on them. However, it may take anywhere from three weeks to six months before you see any real results from your braces—this is because it takes some time for new habits and muscle memory to form in your mouth. The good news is that once they do, you can enjoy your beautiful smile for years to come!

This process usually takes about two years. During that time we expect you to be committed to wearing your retainers faithfully every single day. If you don’t have perfect compliance then we cannot guarantee long-term results!

The cost of these retainers vary but they typically run between $1,000-$2,000 per arch. We offer payment plans so please ask us about our financing options during your consultation appointment if interested! We also accept Care Credit which can make paying for treatments easier than ever! If you pay off all of your retainers within 6 months after completing treatment then we will refund 50% of their cost!
