TikTok Shop customers in the UK can now purchase products from US creators’ videos, allowing creators to engage with customers globally, and therefore earn extra commissions.
Overview of global markets on TikTok Shop
When a creator in the US posts a video with links to products that are available globally, customers in the UK can purchase the product from the video.
Creators can still enjoy the same experience when posting content, but expanding markets provides them with the opportunity to engage with more customers and drive more sales to their product.
How to find products open to global markets
You can see which products are available in global markets on the product detail page (PDP). Once you’re in the PDP, you can scroll up to the commission tab — there should be a globe icon to indicate that these products can be sold in multiple markets.
Note: The commission rate may vary in different markets. You can change regions in the country selector to view the exact commission rates.
As a creator, you can add these products to your showcase and begin posting content for them. We recommend adding a special note to your content for UK customers so they know they can purchase the products you’re promoting.
Understanding commissions from other markets
Once you publish content for your selected products, you’ll start earning commissions if customers make a purchase.
To view the details of your earnings, head to Creator Center and click earnings. From there, you can see a affiliate marketing summary of the total balance of your earnings, broken down by US and other markets.
From there, you can view your earning history by clicking into each date range — similar to the PDP, you can click the country selector to see additional earnings from new market customers.
You can also view order details via Affiliate orders — on this page, you can see the estimated commissions and final commissions of each order, as well as their settlement status.

- Is there a threshold for a creator to earn commissions from other markets?
- Only creators who are not linked to any agencies can earn commissions from other markets. Products from product lists provided by agencies are not eligible for extra market commissions
- Why can’t my UK followers purchase products from my video?
- UK followers won’t be able to make purchases if:
- A product is out of stock in the UK
- The product is not eligible for extra market commissions (there’s no globe icon on the PDP page)
- The creator is linked to an agency or the product is added from a product list provided by an agency
- What currency will I receive if I earn commissions from other markets?
All commissions will be paid in USD.
