It’s very easy to purchase your favorite car but with great powers comes great responsibility. Your car requires speedy maintenance reminders and quality checks so that the condition of the car remains new and stable.

Many inward and outward characteristics need to be undertaken to maintain your car. It can be time-consuming but remember, you’ve done a great deal of investment in it. Make a habit to check your car regularly so that you save yourself from huge damage in the future.

Here is a list of important pointers that you can perform to maintain your car. They are listed as follows:

Clean the Windshield

A dirty windshield is a sign that you can end up with accidents. Don’t take this lightly as your vision has to be clear no matter what. Your wipers play a major role here hence always make sure that they are working efficiently. Usually, many birds poop on the windshield or many insects bug in the wipers. Hence before kick-starting your ride, so make sure to clean it.

Check Tire Pressure

Over-inflated and under-inflated tires are a huge risk to drive with, so always make sure that your tire pressure is at the optimum of what is mentioned on the tires.

Especially if you have a large-sized SUV or a truck because light truck tyres require more care as they carry heavyweight. Used in carrying heavy loads or to fulfill towing needs — light truck tyres feature strong tread patterns which can undergo tough situations. Whether you want to drive on highways or want to navigate the tough terrain, they can endure everything.

Both passenger tyres and light truck tyres require a proper inflation level. For that, you need to go to the nearest gas station where the air-filling system is installed.

You would also need a tire pressure gauge which will help determine the exact pressure of the tire. The pressure needs to be just right as during long miles, these can fluctuate according to various temperature conditions and can result in long-term deficiencies. So fill the tires if needed.

Check the Oil Levels

The engine oil is changed every once in a while. Do not think that if your engine oil has turned viscose and black, it would be requiring an oil change. That is not the case and to determine it, you’ll need a dipstick. The oil level can be read by looking where the oily part ends and the dry part begins. If the oil line is between the two marks, you’re good to go. If it’s below the bottom mark, you need to add some more oil. These oil changes usually are done every four months, but it depends on the mileage of your vehicle.

Maintenance Schedule

Many car companies provide a post-purchase service where after you’ve purchased the car, they set up maintenance schedule reminders where you bring your car for a check-up. Do not miss those as mechanics are experts in checking the condition of your car, especially the interior so it’s always safe to follow these maintenance schedules.

Clean your vehicle

This is the most important one and need not be missed. But how can we forget the cleaning part! Always make sure that your car is washed and cleaned every week (after every journey) so that the tiny elements and residue don’t build-up under the wipers or tires. These can end up in the car, making it dirty.
