Texas Treeventures is a zipline challenge course in The Woodlands that takes advantage of the abundant greenery. It features three levels and 72 obstacles to keep you moving, thinking the whole time! Kid friendly but make sure your child meets certain weight requirements for safety purposes- they’ll be expected to have their parent with them on this exciting adventure throughbraking off adrenaline junkies like myself (and we’re not called “Texas Treetop Walks” just because).
THE WOODLANDS MALL
The Woodlands Mall is a sprawling shopping center situated near the Woodlands Waterway. With more than 150 stores, it has something for everyone – from bachelors looking to dress up their closets or parents who need some last minute gifts! There’s also kid-friendly spaces and options galore when you’re craving delicious food; we recommend heading over there first before hitting any other store at The Landings mall (which isn’t too far away).
ROB FLEMING AQUATIC CENTER
The Rob Fleming Aquatic Center has all the attractions you could hope for: splash pads, a lazy river and more. It may be fall but that doesn’t mean Houston can’t still be muggy and hot so it’s time to pack up these kids in their suits before they turn into popsicles!
GEORGE MITCHELL NATURE PRESERVE
The George Mitchell Nature Preserve is 1,800-acres of trails and trees. You can bike or zip line through the preserve once you are in the area–or opt for both nature activities! A shady walk along Spring Creek will also be available on site at their visitor center with educational programming that teaches about climate change mitigation efforts here as well
A great way to explore this large park while getting more environmentally friendly exercise than running around all over town looking for parking spaces would have been biking but now thanks to Treeventures’ new partnership many people.
